As you can tell, I am passionate about health and wellness and this passion started with my quest for a remedy to cure migraines. You see, I suffer from migraines and let me tell you they are not pretty.
I looked at various alternative treatments, home remedies and read a lot about research in that field. And it opened up my very inquisitive, inquiring mind to the world of health, medicine and wellbeing. I was no doctor or any kind of medical professional ( a bit too late for that and instead I graduated with an MBA in Marketing), but I was interested in understanding various aspects of health and wellness and how I can help myself lead a healthy,
No, I didn't practice but I did help my friends and relatives ( besides I was busy putting my marketing degree to use in advertising, managing clients, working on designs and writing marketing copy).
The point of this story is that as my interest in health and wellbeing grew, I realised that I wanted to help people. I wanted them to feel good about themselves and have relevant health and wellness information at their fingertips so that they can make good healthy decisions for themselves and get the help they need.
Professionals and businesses in health and wellness are already delivering life-saving services to their patients, customers and clients. I wanted to help them use the power of effective communication so that they could help their clients and customers make good decisions for their health and wellbeing.
With a background and experience in writing marketing copy and an MBA in Marketing, having developed essential hard and soft research skills ( learnt some more with a Post Graduate in Library and Information Management), and having a good understanding of content marketing (with Certifications from HubSpot), I knew I could do that.
